My name is Peggy (ya think?), and I'm the owner/co-admin of TalkOhio. Browsing the internet, I couldn't find a place for Ohioans to gather to talk online, other than dating sites, AOL chatrooms (I don't have AOL) and Yahoo chat (got out of that scene a while ago).
A friend of mine started a talk site for his state (Delaware) a few months ago and it took off! So, I talked to my friend Kent, and he got excited about the idea - and TalkOhio was born.
To my chagrin, I'm not a native Ohioan. Born and raised in Florida (state of the hot & muggy :rolleyes: ), I'm a transplant to Ohio (almost 3 years here), and loving it!
I am a mom to 2 lovely kids (1 teen daughter, and one "special needs" son), work part-time as a non-medical caregiver for Comfort Keepers, and design webpage graphics and forum themes.
If you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to getting to know everyone here. :D
