View Full Version : KBImages - The Photo Works
Besides variuos grpahics I enjoy taking photos myself and with some friends that send me some and with a little this and that I seem to pass the day now and then. Should I ever post one you like and wish to use feel free, but I might have one or two that I'd like to at least be asked and I'll point that out in that post.
Here is one of my first works

As a former Police Officer and Fireman this one has special meaning to me

This is a poem I wrote. I'm sure no pro but I do ask that should you use it that credit be offered at least as I do have copyright on it as I do all my original work.

This is gorgeous, one I've not seen before. Your poem is touching. I've read it a few times since you posted it.

This is one I took in 89 at The Wall. It's sure not the best quality but I wasn't going for a reflection type view but the way it turned out, I just liked.

I have never been there, tho I've always wanted to go. It looks like such a sad, lonely place. :(

I'm not sure I know how to describe it. It's one of those places a person must go themselves and experience. As you approach it from above you wonder how could it be respectful with all the noise fro the city which that day was so loud you almost had to yell to be heard just feet away, but as soon as you step onto the walkway you can not just feel something, you notice with your ears that you're entering a special place. With each step it becomes more quiet and as soon as your head is level with the top of the Wall it's dead quiet, almost erie but not in a scared way, it's as if you're being allowed to step into a place not seen or known to many. Setting politics aside which at that point is pointless, it is overwhelming to know what each names means, but at the same time you can feel that if had to be done again, they would. Hard to explain that but that's my take on it.

Clifton Mills Covered Bridge
Beautiful!
Christmas at Clifton Mills. For those not knowing of the place, it's outside of Yellow Springs, Ohio and about 30 to 40 minutes from Dayton.

Kent.
I have been there more than once. I agree with what you saw and felt. I have a couple of buddies on that wall. one I graduated with, one I met in the service.... and I found them both.
It may seem silly to some.... but I can not help weeping when I visit there. There is something so moving.

It is not silly. Not at all.

I went there in May, and had to get up at 5:30am to get this one of the wall.

Very nice shots Vince, thanks for sharing them and welcome to :TO:
Taken on a foggy Memorial Day morning at the National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Once I saw it, the resulting edit was as clear as day to me.
Who says we don't have beautiful sunsets in Ohio! This was captured in the Fall of 2007 looking west over the Miami Valley. (Montgomery County)
Different views of the same waterfall, located in Mahoning County
