Don't ask me why. I'm completely addicted to scented candles. BUT not just any scent!
For fall/winter, I burn vanilla/pine/wood-sy scents.
For spring/summer, I burn melon, cucumber-melon, honeydew melon scents.
I HATE flowery scents. yuck!
Sooooooo... if anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas... :D

rofl!! Yes I do like bayberry. caramel and cinnamon are ok, but not scents I'd run out and buy. Now tell me that cucumber melon candles are on sale, and I'll push people outta line to get to 'em, lol.
Okay ......... I get reminded in a joking way that I'm girly because of things I know that maybe some guys or most guys either don't, or they won't admit it . but screw it, I've thought about adding to this thread and didn't, till now.
I like candles a lot myself. I like the soft light they offer, the fauz warmth they give and I like the scents many offer.
I think a hearty balsam is my favorite. Not just pine but a deep pine.
Vanilla, Cherry and Black Cherry and even bayberry now and then.

I think it's wonderful that a man add to this thread. There's not a thing in the world wrong with men liking scented candles, or flowers, etc. Screw what people may think.
Scented candlelight, as opposed to just ordinary candlelight, give an ambience, a warmth and peacefulness, to a room, a setting, a scenario.
Example, I'm sitting on the sofa, snuggled up with a friend, or lover, watching TV. I like to have the room aglow with scented candlelight, and all other lights off. Just makes the setting so comfortable and peaceful.
Of course, there's the other setting - romantic. Soft music, scented candlelight, sweet kisses turn to sensual kisses that turn to............ ahem, we won't go there :p

Found a new scented candle a few days ago. The scent is called "mulled cider". I've never heard of it, but it is definitely a fall scent. I can't say that it would ever be my favorite, but is a scent that I would purchase again for fall.
They haven't put out the really nice, rich pine scented candles yet. That's what I'm really waiting for. I used almost all of mine last season, as I'm such a candle addict. Michaels and other craft stores probably have them out, but I'm not paying $10 for a candle, when I know I'll be able to purchase the same candles at Dollar General for $2.50 in November.

I'm still patiently waiting for my pine scented candles to come out.
the mulled cider scented ones have been out down this way for a few years and actually end up in the clearance aisle for slow sales

I don't doubt that any. Mulled Cider isn't the most attractive of scents. I'm sure that I wouldn't purchase it again.

I have my first artificial Christmas tree this year.
The comprise for me not being allowed to have a real tree was some pine scented candles.
