Is there a question you always wanted to ask, but were embarrassed to ask?
Here's the place to do it.

I want to know why Ohio is referred to as "mid-west"? The state is clearly in the east, I mean we're only 2 states away from living in the Atlantic. SO, why do they call us mid-west???

I think because at one time, the Alleghany Mountains were considered the boundary to the "east", and Ohio was considered "out west" at that time. So now, we are considered the boundary to the mid west.

Well... they need to re-think the boundaries...

Okay, I want to know why there isn't a white version of the NAACP - National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian People.

Why isn't there a White History Month?

How come if you either call me or speak in the open ears of the public a honky, cracker, pasty, vanilla, Mic, kite, a redneck and others it's okay, but if I call someone or say niger (with another g), jigaboo, spear-chucker, nappy haired whatever, sand monkey, towel head, wetback and others, that I'm a racist, but your not?

Why is it okay to call yourself an African American, Hispanic American, Russian American and all the rest, but if I call myself a White American I'm a racist?

How is it that there can be a AFRICAN AMERICAN HOLIDAY ASSOCIATION that's national and organized to promote social change, economic & community empowerment, educational awareness of African Diaspora culture & achievements, unity & healing of the African Diaspora and youth anti-violence & crime prevention through cultural enrichment, leadership & entrepreneur training, but if white people had the same thing they'd be classed as a cult, the Klan or some Nazi organization?

I want to know why the test I took for a job isn't the same one given to someone not Caucasian and a male Caucasian at that is easier or automatic points given to them is just fine to do when any American has the right to go to the same school and do or don't do the work required, but if I bitch about it then again, I'm being a racist?

I want to know why I'd end up with the news people in my yard for the rallies condemning me for displaying White Pride when next door it's perfectly acceptable when they fly a Black Pride Banner on their home?

There is that too, but the jist of the remark deals with what is said to be racist or not, and it sure does to be an accepted double standard that for one I'm pretty sick and tired of.

It just came to me ...... it's been years since I heard the remark, but I can remember those of either irish or Scott decent be referred to as potato pickers and everyone just laughed it off and I bet would laugh to this day, but you know, being of both Irish anbd Scott decent, I don't think I much care for the term. But let someone say it and I file a civil rights charge against them for it and watch and see how fast it would get tossed out of court!

Absolutely right.

hmmm, I wonder how far I'd get by suing over being called a "half-breed" ??
