Man Beaten, Stabbed While Walking Dog

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police were searching for two teenagers who they said attacked a man while he was walking on the city's northwest side Tuesday night.
The victim was walking his dog on Shannon Heights Boulevard, near Hayden Run Road, at about 9:30 p.m., 10TV News reported.
He told police that a car sped through the intersection and he shouted at the driver to slow down.
Two teenagers got out of the vehicle and stabbed the man and beat him with a hammer, police said.
The 29-year-old victim, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable condition, 10TV News reported.
Neighbors in the area heard the commotion and called police.
Police said the teenagers were driving a white car. No other details of the car's description were immediately available.

What is wrong with kids today???? I watched WSYX - channel 6 last night and the interview that they had with the victim ~ he was not only beaten with a hammer but stabbed with a screwdriver and a knife. He said that when he ran home after the attack the knife was still in his calf. He, also said he had to go right back to the scene because he had left one of his dogs. The victim also stated that the only reason he had reacted the way he did was because he was a new father himself ~ he son is in the neonatal clinic at a local hospital and hopefully can come home soon. He concern was for the children in the neighborhood. He said that his older black lab who is normally very docile bared her teeth for the first time ever and he felt that if it hadn't been for her... they would have killed him.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier today. This is unimaginable to me, yet seems to be happening more and more. I too, while standing at the busstop with my son, have yelled at passing motorists to slow down. I have never even considered that one of them might stop and cause us physical harm. Perhaps now, I should.

While kids today do these things seemingly more often it's sad that it's really nothing new.
A person that is related to me did shit that no one in our family is proud of and also made this person an outcast not just then but to this day not many have anything to do with them.
As a teenager he and his friends would do all sorts of things to screw others life up. One of them would lay next to a road pretending to be passed out or injured and when someone would stop and get out to check on them they'd beat them and take whatever they had, and one night while after they had gotten high and then went to a bar, and this was in their early 20's. Once they got drunk on top of being high the three of them went outside and decided to "roll" the next person that came out. What ended up happening was they beat the man so bad he died right there on the sidewalk.
Because of the drugs and booze and some other things, he only did a few years in jail. I tell this story only to show that it's not something new, but that doesn't mean it's okay to do, never was and never will be.
