So I'm sitting on the toilet last night as we all do and my mind goes to those abstract thoughts and ideas since it's really no place to battle real issues, but then I thought about the old and new jokes about folks living i trailer parks. Ya know, each person has to decide where and how to live so some live in a house, some a cave, some an apartment, some trailers, and then it's up to them to make it a home or not. But this isn't the point of my rambles of which I type, but it did lead me to those that live free as they say and on the road, the land is my front yard as it were, those ate up with mobile homes, campers, high-lows.
So yea, different strokes for different folks but I'm talking hardcore rubberheads here, the ones that have made picnic type meals an art form. Came up with 1001 uses for those silly porch lites and relish in the odor of chemicals mixed with their own waste and with a grin on their face proclaim "ain't it great?"
No, not talking about the occasional weekender or yearly vacation but those that live for it, weekly or even daily, those that have tons of cookies from living on websites sharing the latest in road food or how to keep little suzy from getting knocked up from little johnny while you take abath in the local swimming hole.
How does one deal with things like farts, PMS, masturbation, car sickness, how to cook roadkill and so many more vital tidbits of information they must have.
I just don't get it, but should someone have some insight I'm as eager to learn as a fly on fresh cow dung.

I do not appreciate you ~ who ever you are ~ putting my ancestors, such as Pocahontas, my 17th generation grandmother down like you have done. If you have no respect for us Native Americans then best to keep your opinions to yourself.

thanks

well can see that my hubby has been here... *seeing a bit of trouble ahead*

I do have something to add here though..... I do have several relatives that do the "camping" thing.

In fact, My one cousin & his wife are camper hosts at Indian Lake. They have a very nice trailer. Most trailers are nicer than some homes these days.

You have insinuated that all people who camp or do the RV thing are nothing but Hillbillies and Rednecks {more or less dumber than a box of rocks} And eat nothing but Roadkill isn't right.

And we - Alan & Myself plan on getting a trailer to go camping in ourselves - so I guess in your eyes we ain't nothing but rednecks... but hell we don't care... we're both damn proud of our heritage.

WHOA!! I honestly thought you were kidding at first, Reb, but just realized you were serious.
How the hell is he making fun of your ancestor in that post?? Were you talking about the latter part, the Pocahontas festival and roadkill cookoff??? That's a very real event!!

Hey, I'm 1/2 Cherokee and very proud of my heritage. And I love to go camping, whether tent or Winnebago. I've been hearing "roadkill" jokes since I was a kid.

It was a JOKE, well except for the roadkill cookoff - that's real!!

Y'all took everything the wrong way. Really. Lighten up! lol

Hey Alan & Lea.... THIS is what Kent was referring to in the latter part of his post.....

He wasn't making fun - it's an event, one that he finds funny.

Krist, someone lose their sense of humor? And as for opinins that is what this and many other sites are so I'll damn well voice them when, where and how I want seeing I have the right too according to law.
Now, those were done in jest, and not something I dreamed up even though if I wanted to I'm sure I could come up with some slams. And the festival thing IS REAL, and promoted by that county as a yearly event so if you really have a problem with it, try a google search and contact them.

Being native american does what, give you or anyone with that blodline the right to put down those that don't? Do native americans not have a sense of humor? Hell I'm of Irish and Scottish so maybe I should go off the deep end if someone makes a drunk joke or whatever else.

Now getting a camper, that makes you a redneck or a hillbilly? First off, unless your a farmer from Michigan then you really don't have a right to call yourself a hillbilly and if you are/were you know it's not a slam. Either way, I won't be told or forced to not joke about whatever I feel like joking or poking fun at. And still ranting on something 17 generations gone past? Whoa, be proud but let the shit go.

Anyway, I'm off to smurf the net to see who I can make fun of next since I opted out of the politically correct bullshit that some want to force upon me :D
