Must man be ever at odds over foolish things?
forever vengeful, full of wrath, ready for battle.
screaming at one another, hands raised in anger,
calmness forbidden to intervene, battles rage.

Peaceful solutions unacceptable in this war raging,
battle lines drawn, weapons aimed one at the other,
random killing on every front, unprotected ones dying,
standing ever ready for battle, each face, every day aging.

Fueds fought onward though, the reason uncertain,
through countless ages people live, and die needlessly,
what can stop the aggressors,one upon the other?
a senseless rage drawing those around, brother killing brother.

Perhaps one day when the Earth is down to two, what then?
shall the hate arise again, among these two souls?
will the rage outweigh the realms of reason and sanity?
fighting over foolish things, shall we ever pass this way again?

One day calmer minds will prevail, war mongers pushed aside,
peace to be pressed upon each and every heart of every man,
wisdom will become the norm once more among the warriors,
man will arise once more and will again hold their brothers hand.
