What does it take to keep a healthy relationship? Hell if I know, but I know a few things that can and usually do cause an illness within one;
•Little or no communication
•Indifference towards their feelings
•Indifference towards what they care about
•Cruel words
•Cruel Actions
•Cruel Looks
•Take them for granted
•Oneupmanship. I don't mean one being better at something or making more money or whatever, I mean being better, earning more or just doing something better than the other and then rubbing it in their face to belittle them. And you don't have to do it twice, just doing it once will cause enough harm that it will never be forgotten.
•Lying about the smallest of events or details
•Forgetting why you fell in love
•Stop trying to make them smile at least once a day
•Withholding sex for any reason (and this is now a criminal offense in some states under the spousal abuse laws)
•Teasing them with harmful intent
•Break their spirit
I'm sure there are many more, but one of these alone is like a cancer that will soon spread and before long the relationship will die.
