This is a true story but a funny one.
My daughter married a man who wanted a green card.
At the time she thought he was marrying for love.
One day he was sitting around complaining.
I said to him, "Life Sucks, doesn't it"
A couple days later my daughter and him were in Walmart shopping.
He brought her a pair of socks and dangled them in front of her.
He ask, "Is this life."
She said, "What are you talking about."
He said, "Your mom said, Life SOCKS."
Needless to say they divorced before the greencard.:yes:

I had something kinda similar happen just this morning.
Knock on the door. I open it and there stands what looked to be a mexican and when he gave me some BS story about a black guy living here and talking about meeting him concerning a new roof in very broken English, I asked him if I looked black?
Then he ask about my roof of which yes I need it replaced so I'm pissed off that he felt the need to run the looking for someone else game, but me being me I wanted to push it so I ask him what he'd charge. He tells me 1,200 for labor plus materials. I say great, do you have a card so I can give you a call in a few days? He smiles and hands me one and I bet he's thinking yippie, I got a job out of this. I pocket the card, make a big deal of looking close at his van and say great, as soon as I call the folks at the federal building to make sure he has the proper permits and lic and isn't an illegal here trying to take my American money I'd give him a call.
Funny how his grinning face turned to horror and even better when he asked for his card back saying he was sorry but he was busy and even better when I said sorry, I forgot where I put it but to have a nice day and get off my property.
I worry about myself sometimes, but I do enjoy messing with some people ;)
