Real basic yet two powerful questions with as many answers and as much debate as you'll ever find. Families have been torn apart by these questions. Wars have been fought. People have been hurt and died for them and because of them. Leaders have been placed in power and assassinated over them. Friends and lovers have been brought together and others ripped apart over them.
So, if others take part in this thread I can only guess that it may become heated if someone says or states something another doesn't believe in or feel is true, but remember, we all have the right to our thoughts and opinions and lets try, try to respect that.
At the same time, let's at least be open to the possibility that even though another might go against your thinking, that maybe they could be right, or offer a different view on the topic(s).
Your thoughts and thinking isn't likely to change mine, and mine won't change yours. That's not my goal in starting this thread, it's to open the field to sharing, rethinking, more possibilities that what we've been taught all our life.
One thing I hope not to see is a blanket remark(s) saying there is or isn't a god or the devil just because I said so and that's that.
Let's dig some and go beyond the simple faith of it all, and should someone state something that you feel or know isn't right, go ahead and comment and even support it with knowledge, experience or whatever you can so to lend merit to what you say.
